From Don (Kip) Kuttner:

Interesting to see the faces of some friends and acquaintances. I doubt I made much of an impact on the student body unless you looked at my year book picture. I never did like that photo so I have attached some that are a bit better and up to date. Since HS I have bounced about the country a bit. Living very briefly in So Cal, Oklahoma, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, even in Grand Junction and Black Hawk Colorado (before the casinos showed up).

Became a pathologist and now specialize in transfusion medicine and blood banking. My life partner and I met across the autopsy table (no kidding) during residency training. She is a forensic pathologist. Now we reside in Pennsylvania where we have been very wrapped up in work. No children. She has 5 cats; I tolerate them but would prefer that they were stuffed.

I prefer dogs.

Over the past few years we have rediscovered hiking. In addition to hiking parts of the Appalachian Trail, we have climbed the highest peak on the eastern part of the country, Mt. Washington, 6,200 ft. (I laughed too, but it has the worst weather in the US) In addition we hiked to

Machu Picchu over a 15,000 foot pass, around Patagonia and Bhutan. Attached are some pictures. First at about 13,000 ft in Bhutan. ...and one from Pennsylvania, Peru and Argentina. I really have missed the Colorado Mountains.

When not hiking or working, I enjoy building and flying radio controlled airplanes, restoring ancient stereo equipment, and restoring old sports cars. Well, is what I have been up to.

Kip

And, some more sad news:

Suzanne Hickok was reported to have passed away in January of this year. I don't have any of the details

And, some other news:

Quite a few of us have found each other on facebook. I'm thinking of putting up a Class of '73 page up for us there.

Things have recently been quiet on line, but we have some news on a few classmates:

First, some great news.

From Randy Liljenberg:

I think I have a valid excuse for missing the reunion – I got married that weekend. Kathy is my Bride’s name. We became grandparents the next day, and I turned 50 that Fall; what a year! See Bob Fink (’74) often, he’s in Loveland; run into Doug Miles once in a while around Boulder in his Marv’s truck. We are in Frederick, east of Longmont. Look me/us up, I’d love to hear from anyone. Randy Liljenberg liljenbergr@earthlink.net.

From Chris McKinlay (Goff):

The first book in my Birdwatcher's Mystery series was just translated and published in Japan. That's one of the best markets to sell into, so I'm excited. Here's the cover, but be sure and check back for the YouTube Video of me on tour singing my karoke rendition of "Rant of Ravens" sung to the tune of "Rockin' Robin" (LOL).

Then some sad news.

From Patty Britton:

Dewalea Morris (Alsup), 50, loving wife and mother, died peacefully Monday, May 22, 2006, at her home in Spearfish. Anyone interested in reading her obit can click here.

From Charles Booth:

I have been in Alaska for 34 years , been married for the same. My wife is from the same small town my mother was from in Californa. We have two children, Kendra is 31 she has a son 12. Christopher, our son is 30. We lived in Seward, Alaska for thirty-four years. We then moved to Eagle River, Alaska and live there now. We love it up here, but we are going to Mexico for Christmas.

From Peggy Farnham:

I've been working with a bunch of former co-workers for a start-up company named ePlan Services for the past two years. It's a great company, wonderful people, and good times, so you can't ask for much more than that. My dad died last April so that is tough, but am hanging in there. I spend every minute I can with my beautiful, precious Sensation. We both have strange joint injuries, so sometimes we can ride, sometimes we can't, but if not, we hike and that is fun too. He just turned 8 and we had a ball at his annual big bash!!! We had 21 people, 4 horses, a pony, a miniature donkey and 3 dogs at this year's party, so that was fun. I hope all is well with everyone!!! Would love to hear from everyone. Andy Ashby and Laura Ware, my thoughts and prayers have been with you both in the loss of your mothers. I'm so sorry. Peg

Mike Milligan logs in:

"Hey right out of the blue I have updated my details and live in England now, Just a few comments, I think Paul Wright moved to Grand Junction a few years back and I had heard thatmy friend John Sims had been killed in a car accident in 1974 but cant confirm that. I will now get my year book out and have a look at the faces again, is there a yearbook site with our pics on that I can look at if I cant find my Yearbook? Thanks for keeping in contact with me regards Mike Milligan."

THEN

Marc Smith discovers the website. Check out the pictures that follow the post.

"This was the freakiest find I ever came across. I just wanted to post to friends from long ago. I did not end up in prison, but at the suggestion of the Justice of the Peace in Miami AZ, I joined the Army in 1973, I stayed there 5 years, spent 3 years with Special Forces as a Weapon Sargant, but that gets you into an unusual frame of mind. Human life becomes, well, I left the Army, went back to school, graduated (no shit Marion!) and went back into the Army for another 21 years. I am a Family Nurse Practitoner at Sierra Vista, AZ. Married, have two boys Jacob 13, and Max 11. I often wondered what happened to you all, it was good to see James Denbow, I talked with your brother a few years back. Marion Yachoshkin, what did you end up doing? Everyone looks so good. The Smith twins, Doug Fredrickson, Mike Lenz, your ugly like me. Greg Blackmer came by to see me in Everett, WA when I was there. If you all ever break down in Sierra Vista, holler at me. No one every "just passes through". Jimmy Murphy, I still have my speed skates. Greg Dodynes in in Kitterage. Let me know what your doing."

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year - can you believe it's going to be 2008. Remember all the horror stories about the year 2000, everything was going to shut down....hmmmm! Have a great Holiday season!!!!

Just in from Patti Britton:

I somehow discovered the Evergreen 73 website! I have to find my yearbooks to recognize the names to the faces.

I have been in Northern California for many years. I have a live/work loft in Sonoma, California where I have my own business Britton Design. For the past 23 years (ugh!), I've been designing wine labels and all the collateral needed for wineries. That's been a lot of fun. I've also traveled a lot, some for business, some for pleasure. I like going on adventure vacations with total strangers. I had clients in Australia, traveling there 10 times for 3 years until the jet lag got the best of me. Email address is pb@brittondesign.com if anyone would like to get in touch.

We love pictures! Doug and Cheryl Frederickson.

From Kathy Ozog (Heymans): Well, my news is after 30 years at the Arapahoe District Court working as a court reporter I decided to retire as of May 1, 2007. It hasn't been as relaxing as one would hope. I still have to finish the court transcripts for the hearings I was the reporter on and I immediately started doing some volunteer work with Project Angel Heart. My husband Michael has been volunteering quite a bit with Habitat for Humanity. My father's health is deteriorating quite a bit, so both of us spend a lot of time helping my mom take care of him and making sure that she takes care of herself. Traveling? Well, we went to the "Mike The Headless Chicken Festival" in Fruita and then "urro Days (Get Your Ass Up the Pass)" in Fairplay in July.

Dan and I just got back from spending the summer in Boise, ID with our Business, two daughters and two grandchildren with a third due in November. Dan and I build custom Street Rods in Arizona and had our 37 Terraplane Pickup featured in the Volume 8 (July) issue of TRUCKIN Magazine.

From Dr. James Bailey: Sorry I couldnt make it to the reunion (travel for work), looks like everyone had a blast.  Please keep me informed re future reunions, so I can plan well enough in advance to attend.  2013 seems so faraway, maybe something informal in between (like the kegger in 1983?) Cheers!

From Joyce Farner: Moved back to CO in June 2006 from So. Cal. Don't like the weather much!!! Great welcome home blizzard this winter. Had my 5th grand baby on 9/1/07.... that's why I'm here, to spoil 'em the best I can!!!

9/4/07
Gladys Jean (Jeannie) Griffin (Starnes) writes: I have breast cancer - the kind that doesn't show up on those mammograms they are always telling us to have. My youngest daughter leaned up against me and it hurt...my doctor told me not to worry cancer doesn't hurt - it does. Now after having my chest flattened (now my arm blows up - lympdema)...I'm hangin in there. Chemo sucks, radiation isn't much better, but I'm still here! If you get cancer or know someone who has it who needs to talk, just get in touch with me! You can do this. And I hope to see everyone at the next reunion (I do have hair now although really bald was easier). Take care, enjoy each day!

Then she adds: Why don't we throw out the idea that we (whoever can make it from our class) get together - for say a day at the park, any park...or say a day at Waterworld, or at Elitches....or at the zoo...or Chatfield or...a BBQ - pig roast....pot luck get together...just a reason to get together...Nothing fancy, just us! Perhaps next summer - late June....hmmmm what do you think!

From Chris Porter (Jessey): Married 34 years. Living in Nashville, TN. Three grown kids, two grandsons.

9/3/07
Danny Marsh writes: An interesting career change for me at 52 years old...I am graduating in three days from the Yavapai County (Arizona) Sheriffs Office Detention Officer Academy. Quite a challenge. Also keeping up on my professional status as a blues/jazz keyboardist. Gotta have a release!

We have some great photos from the 32nd High School Reunion (from the year most of us turned 50). Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who attended in 2003 who's pictures we do not have. If you have any that show some of the others, please forward them to the webmaster. Enjoy!

Andy Ashby and Cindy Milway at the Sock Hop on Friday Night.

Saturday morning. The Float! It looks a bit worse than the one we built our Senior year. I think we were the only Senior Class that didn't take 1st in the Homecoming float contest. The Float was followed by the Elks Barbeque lunch.
